Corinthians and Palmeiras had the games of the first round of the Brazilian Championship postponed due to a scheduling conflict with the final of the Paulista Championship. The Paulista Football Federation (FPF) scheduled the return match of the state decision (Corinthians x Palmeiras) for Thursday (27), at 9:35 pm (Brasília time), less than 48 hours before the debut in the Brasileirão. As a consequence of the changes, São Paulo x Sport, originally scheduled for the 30th, was brought forward to the 29th, at 6:30 pm, at Morumbi, to accommodate the alterations.
Therefore, Palmeiras x Botafogo, the game that would mark the opening of the Brasileirão, will be played on Sunday (30), at 4 pm (Brasília time), at Allianz Parque. The proximity of the start of the Brasileirão with the end of the Paulistão has raised concerns for the FPF about the rest of the players, especially due to the FIFA Date, which ends on March 25th, with several players from both teams called up for their national teams.

Corinthians and Palmeiras now have a break from the FIFA Date and will only face each other again on the 27th, at 9:35 pm (Brasília time), for the second match of the final of the Paulista Championship, at Neo Química Arena. The Paulistão final between Corinthians and Palmeiras caused a change in the Brasileirão schedule.
